When is (or which) group therapy is right for you?
Between your personal and professional lives, you have had many interactions with others. Your connections with others, however brief, can be complex and impactful, even to your own mental and physical health. Group therapy is an invaluable addition to individual treatment, as it provides a space to tweak, tinker, and re-examine the way you interact with others, especially when you find yourself feeling misunderstood or misrepresented.

Weekly group therapy

Every week for 75 minutes, we meet online to talk about what is troubling, upsetting, exciting, or scary in our lives. The goal is to put thoughts, feelings, and urges into words and learn about yourself – and also how you impact and relate to others. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, worries, or insecurities about any of your relationships, or even ask yourself why you are stuck, this may be the right group for you. There are 3 group sessions to choose from, one on Tuesdays 6 PM EST, Wednesdays 1 PM EST, or Thursdays 5 PM EST. $75/session. Contact ps********@*********md.com for a group screening.
Every Wednesday from 8 – 9:15 PM EST, a long term process group for Asian Pacific Islander South Asian Americans exists to challenge how members perceive themselves and how they relate to others. While the space is limited to those of the Asian diaspora, the exploration of our differences and what makes us unique will be vast. Find real connections here. $75/session. Contact ps********@*********md.com to set up a group screening.
Monthly group therapy
We previously hosted a monthly drop-in support group for Asian/Pacific Islander/Desi American identified therapists and trainees. At present, there are only weekly groups available.
