When is (or which) group therapy is right for you?
Between your personal and professional lives, you have had many interactions with others. Your connections with others, however brief, can be complex and impactful, even to your own mental and physical health. Group therapy is an invaluable addition to individual treatment, as it provides a space to tweak, tinker, and re-examine the way you interact with others, especially when you find yourself feeling misunderstood or misrepresented.

Weekly group therapy

Every week for 75 minutes, we meet online to talk about what is troubling, upsetting, exciting, or scary in our lives. The goal is to put thoughts, feelings, and urges into words and learn about yourself – and also how you impact and relate to others. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, worries, or insecurities about any of your relationships, or even ask yourself why you are stuck, this may be the right group for you. There are 3 group sessions to choose from, one on Tuesdays 6 PM EST, Wednesdays 1 PM EST, or Thursdays 5 PM EST. $90/session. Contact ps********@*********md.com for a group screening.
Every Wednesday from 8 – 9:15 PM EST, a group exists for adults who are curious about how communication and relationship patterns unfold in real time. Members talk together about their reactions, impressions, and experiences in the group, using those moments to better understand how they relate to others. While the group is not psychotherapy, many participants find the experience personally meaningful and professionally enriching. The group tends to work best for people who are open to curiosity about themselves and willing to explore how they show up in relationships.. $90/session. Contact ps********@*********md.com to set up a group screening.
Monthly group therapy
We previously hosted a monthly drop-in support group for Asian/Pacific Islander/Desi American identified therapists and trainees. At present, there are only weekly groups available.
